WordCamp Schedule Now Available

We’re about a month away from WordCamp, which means everything’s finally coming together 🙂

The schedule for the weekend is now published! We’ll have 6 tracks over the course of the weekend; so there will be something for everyone – from designers, developers, business owners, writers, and more.

If you’re new to WordPress, come for Saturday morning’s Introduction to WordPress track, then stick around and learn about design, development, or how WordPress is used at universities and colleges around the Boston area.

This year we’re also trying something new with panels! Saturday we’ll host a Design Panel and an WordPress in Higher Education Panel; and Sunday will host a Content & Writing Panel, and a Business & Entrepreneur Panel – so come prepared with your questions for our panelists.

Stay tuned for more information about our Saturday afternoon keynote. If you want to help out (and get a free ticket) check out our Volunteers page.

  1. Hello;

    The schedule looks good, but not all Saturday workshops are for beginners. Can someone please recommend some good workshops for a person who has taken a WordPress.org class and designed a basic site, but has no experience beyond that? I’m looking to hone in on the best workshops for my current skill level.

    Thanks!

    • Hi Roger! No, only the first 3 sessions in the combined track are introductory-level. I would suggest going to those first 3 session in Intro; then checking out the other sessions after lunch based on your interest. For example, if you’re trying to build your own website without much code, check out the Page Builder Showdown. If you want to start developing plugins, Ready! Filter! Action! will be an introduction to WordPress code. Organizing Your First Website Usability Test will teach you how to make sure the sites you’re building are usable for the people you’re trying to reach.

      I hope you find this helpful, and hope you attend WordCamp 🙂

  2. Thank you very much for the good feedback! I’ll have to track down the building address and see if I should drive or take the train.

    Best wishes,

    Roger

    • Having lived in that area, Roger, I would strongly recommend train. The BU campus is a nightmare in the best of times.
