I have more than fourteen years of web development experience, have been a regular contributor to WordPress for the last seven years, and even co-lead the WordPress 3.6 release. I have experience writing quality code that is both fast and scalable, and have a knack for translating ideas and goals into functional sites. I’ve worked with clients ranging from small local businesses to Google, Yahoo, Disney, and Harvard. I’ve been called both a coffee snob and a beer snob, but I consider both to be strong complements. When not buried in code, I enjoy spending time with my family, attending or hosting beer tastings, and comic books.
Amanda Giles
I make my living as an independent IT consultant specializing in WordPress (largely as a theme developer). I also founded the Seacoast NH WordPress meetup group which currently holds 2 meetups each month (one aimed at Users and one at Developers). What else? Andrew Nacin
Nacin is a Lead Developer at WordPress, squashing bugs, wrangling contributions, and spearheading new development. He has strong feelings about the core philosophies of WordPress, among them “decisions, not options”— software should be opinionated in lieu of burdening the user with too many options. He works for WordPress founder Matt Mullenweg at Audrey Capital, where he is primarily tasked with working on WordPress core and keeping the lights on at WordPress.org. He resides in downtown Washington, D.C.
Anna Remus
Anna Remus is an introverted human interaction enthusiast and the Marketing Coordinator at Oomph: a full-service digital design and engineering firm specializing in enterprise-level, open source solutions. She once helped a client increase site traffic by 87% through inbound marketing methods, and that made her very happy. You can always find her with her pitbull Zipp, or a green tea Frappuccino—but never both.
Chris Van Patten
As founder and creative director of Van Patten Media, Chris Van Patten has helped build websites for Broadway performers, small businesses, tech news publications, and many others. Before migrating to NYC, Chris created “BfloFRED,” the Buffalo, NY Front-End Developers meetup (later expanded to include sister meetups in Manchester, UK and Toronto, ON) and co-organised Buffalo’s inaugural WordCamp. He regularly speaks at WordPress meetups and WordCamps (including Buffalo, Toronto, and Philly), and writes at vanpattenmedia.com and chrisvanpatten.com.
Christina Inge
Christina Inge is a marketer with over 15 years experience in content creation, web technologies, and project management. Her areas of expertise include boosting clickthrough and conversion rates for paid search campaigns, and increasing organic search rankings through best practices SEO. She helps companies with product go-to-market plans; email marketing strategy and implementation; online lead conversion and lead generation analysis and optimization; and product positioning.
She’s taught the Business of the Web at the Boston University Center for Digital Imaging Arts.
Daniel Kanchev
I am a senior web apps engineer at SiteGround web hosting company. Passionate for all things open source, WordPress, new server technologies, security and speed, I have developed various in-house security and performance boost solutions to make WordPress websites more secure and faster. I am also responsible for huge WordPress sites migrations.

Jared Novack
Jared is a founder and partner at Upstatement, a design firm located in Boston that specializes in responsive websites for media companies (like BostonGlobe.com which they designed in 2011). At Upstatement he directs projects and uses WordPress to build and sites for clients including the Harvard Law Review, and National Public Radio. Jared was formally the newsroom developer at the Houston Chronicle and Boston Globe and an adjunct professor at MassArt. He graduated from Syracuse University in 2006 with a BA in Computer Art.

Jon Heller has been designing and developing websites for over 15 years, and has worked with WordPress for the past eight. He is currently senior web developer at the advertising agency allen & gerritsen, and partner at Adaro Consulting by night (and early, early morning). He lives in Newburyport, Massachusetts and can most often be found with an Americano in hand.

Joseph Herbrandson
After switching out of a sales career, I began working with WordPress websites and creating for small businesses and local professionals. I have been doing so for over 5 years now, specializing in secure websites since my very first customer came to me after having a security incident.
Now I work for Sucuri.net, an industry leader in website security and malware detection, removal and prevention. I work with customers everyday (many of them WordPress users) that have been hacked or infected, and work to re-mediate their security issue and implement a solution to prevent any further infection.
Julie McCay Turner
As a co-founder and managing editor of The Bedford Citizen (TBC), I designed our first site using a WordPress.com theme. Six months later we utilized professional help to move to a self-hosted WordPress site. I am currently exploring an update from our current “river of news” to a fuller magazine-type layout using PageLines’ drag-and-drop editor.
In addition to The Bedford Citizen, I manage http://carlislecenterpark.org/ and http://plantfair.wordpress.com/ using a dated WordPress.com theme, Misty Look, that continues to serve both audiences well.
