It\u2019s our mission to have WordCamp Boston represent the passion, talent and diversity of that community, and we want you to be a part of it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Talks for all skill levels will be considered, and a presentation on things you learned setting up your very first website can be just as valuable as a technical walk-through of how user capabilities and roles are implemented within WordPress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What We Look For<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let\u2019s reiterate that we do NOT require you to be famous, or \u201cexpert,\u201d or a programmer, or specifically credentialed, or anything like that. If you haven\u2019t spoken at a conference before, don\u2019t let that hold you back! All we ask is that you be able to present your chosen topic passionately and respectfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We do have some general guidelines for talks, though, and here they are: Your talk should be\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\t<li>directly related to WordPress, or immediately applicable and relevant to our audience<\/li>\n\t<li>respectful of the WordPress community, the <a href=\"https:\/\/2018.boston.wordcamp.org\/code-of-conduct\/\">WordCamp code of conduct<\/a>, and the GPL<\/li>\n\t<li>something that interests you, that you want to share!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Event Details<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\t<li>Talks will be on Saturday July 21st &amp; Sunday July 22nd.<\/li>\n\t<li>We plan to record all talks and post the videos to WordPress.tv. Speakers will need to sign an A\/V release form prior to giving their presentation.<\/li>\n\t<li>Speakers will be offered free admission to WordCamp Boston, but will not be otherwise compensated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The deadline to for speaker applications has passed.<\/strong>\u00a0If you applied, we should notify you by early June.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WordCamp Boston is a community event that brings together designers, bloggers, developers, artists, small business owners, entrepreneurs, and educators from all across New England.
